Making even scrambled eggs unbelievably delicious!

Okay, ventured out here and got eggs with grilled veggies (and rice and beans and hot fresh tortilla) and they were better than any omelette I've ever had - even without the salsa! File under must try :)

the $2 summer specials are back starting may 2nd and 3rd... theres a slight twist on the special this year specials will be run on monday and tuesday and they are $2 tacos and $2 tostadas and $2 beers (domestic) $3 margs. food specials for the kids and drink specials for the parents.. gotta love it..

La Fonda in South Chandler is closed

Fans of one of the best old school mexican food places in town will be sad to hear that the South Chandler location of La Fonda has closed. But all of us Chandler and Gilbert folks with the sad faces can be cheered to know that the original Tempe store is still open and serving the hottest chips in the Valley. Along with their delish salsa and out of this world hot sauce. We'll make the drive - it is worth it!

I am so fortunate to say that the first place winners in both categories are among my favorite MEX FOOD places of all times. All told, I have probably eaten at both more than - well, let's just say more than I'd care to admit (way upwards of 100)! Yikes!

The other four I haven't tried - but after visiting their websites to get the links - I am definitely going to all of them! Will post here as soon as I do!

LOVE La Fonda! Made an impromtu trip Sunday night so only had camera phone but I think you can see the important details - mainly the bowl of burning hot chips right out of the fryer along with the beloved hot sauce decanter with the pull back top! MexFood fans - leave a comment here - let me know I am not alone in my adoration of La Fonda's hot sauce!
